This is the time of year when major organizations seek nominations for awards to people who enhance our community, state or our lives. Don?t leave the nominating to someone else. Surely each of us knows someone who should be recognized.

The annual Septemberfest, a free family-oriented day at the Governor?s Mansion and the Oklahoma History Center, will take place Sept. 8. The festival will offer mansion tours, sports activities, face painting, entertainment, a climbing wall and ? maybe ? cow milking. Can?t beat a deal like that.
