September is National Bourbon Heritage Month ? and we?re celebrating by highlighting America?s Native Spirit in classic old-school Kentucky cocktails.? The Seelbach cocktail is named after the Louisville, Kentucky hotel where it was first mixed back in 1917.? Cheers!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 ounce Bourbon
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau
- 7 dashes Angostura bitters
- 7 dashes Peychaud?s bitters
- Cava, Prosecco or sparkling wine, chilled
- lemon twist for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
- Chill a Champagne flute while you are preparing the drink.
- Fill a mixing glass with ice.
- Pour the Bourbon, Cointreau, Angostura bitters and Peychaud?s bitters over the ice.
- BRIEFLY stir to combine.
- Strain into the chilled flute.
- Top up with the chilled bubbly.
- Garnish with the lemon twist.
- Sip, savor and enjoy!
