Christmas decorations swiped right from a house in North Texas. The person doing it was caught on camera but not caught yet by police.
The Starnes family in Aledo, west of Fort Worth, was hit not once but twice in one week.
The family's security camera caught the thief taking a holiday wreath off the front door and then walking off to her truck. (See video above.)
"I think it's scary that a grown woman would feel the need to do that.
That she would walk up to the front door and take something," Ashley Starnes said.
Watch the video on the upper right corner of your screen, the bold thief unplugs an extension cord and starts taking out two strands of lights.
The Starnes were surprised to find this video on their home surveillance system.
But a week later, the woman was back for more lights. This time you can see her red four-door pick up in the upper part of your screen.
"We are not going to contribute to her Christmas light stash anymore. Everything is gone," Jon Starnes said.
Thieves stole outdoor decorations on at least five homes in the Aledo area within the last two weeks. Investigators are not sure if the woman is responsible for all the thefts but now have this video as evidence.
"She did not look scared. She was not in a rush. She was not worried," Ashley Starnes said.
The Starnes just want her caught before another families Christmas spirit is stolen.
"There is really not another word I have other than pity," Jon Starnes said.? "I hope she doesn't step foot in the wrong yard it may make somebody else a lot madder than me."
That's what deputies worry about that someone would hurt the woman while protecting their property.
