If you signed up last week for the beta test of the new Xbox 360 dashboard, then good news: you don?t have long to wait to check out the changes.
Today, Xbox Live?s Larry Hryb announced on Twitter that the new user interface for Microsoft?s console would start getting distributed to those who had joined the beta. He also noted that?if you didn?t join the dashboard beta test program?or, heck, know it even existed?then sadly it?s too late.
For those of you who did join up, and are now wondering what you?ll be getting? Well, we know at least some of what?s coming. The update will ?improve overall performance? of the console?s interface, and those crazy Microsoft Points that we?ve been spending for so long will be ?retired later this year.?
Of course, the fun of previous Xbox 360 dashboard betas has been seeing what new visual and interface changes would be coming. While nothing exact has been said about what we might be receiving in that regard in this beta, one has to wonder if the Xbox 360?s user interface will be tweaked to more closely resemble how the Xbox One?s dashboard looks and feels.
Anyhow, if you signed up for the Xbox 360 dashboard beta, then it?ll be coming your way soon! If you missed getting it, it sounds like they might be opening it up to more participants at a future date.
