MILWAUKEE (AP) ? Brooks Conrad ended his 0-for-27 slump to start the season, hitting a homer and driving in three runs to lead the Milwaukee Brewers past the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-1 Saturday night. Shawn Marcum pitched seven strong innings for the home team at Miller Park, giving up five hits while striking out eight without a walk. Cody Ransom had a two-run single for Milwaukee and Rickie Weeks ? hitting just .158 coming in ? reached base all four times last night with two hits and two walks.

CLEVELAND (AP) ? Joe Mauer broke out of a slump with three hits and three RBIs to lead the Minnesota Twins to a 7-4 win over the Cleveland Indians on Saturday night. The Minnesota Twins catcher entered the game in an 0-for-10 skid, but had an RBI single in Minnesota's four-run first inning at Progressive Field.

CHICAGO (AP) ? It took 12 innings but the Chicago White Sox' nine-game winning streak ended with a 10-8 home loss to the Seattle Mariners yesterday. John Jaso hit a tiebreaking double in the 12th for the Mariners. The teams combined for eight home runs at U.S. Cellular Field -- four by each team.

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) ?Jay Haas has the lead after two rounds of the three-round PGA Champions event being held in West Des Moines, Iowa. He stands 11-under par after a 6-under-65 in the second round at Glen Oaks Country Club. Haas won in Iowa in 2007 and 2008.
